United Day School is located on a 22 acre campus in North Laredo. UDS completed construction of its current facility in 1997 after 44 years at its previous location on Clark Boulevard. The new facility was built through the generosity of numerous donors including foundations, parents, local businesses, alumni and others. Campus Complex: United Day School campus consist of the core of the building housing the Library and Media Center with four wings extending in the four geographical directions. The classroom wings extend out South housing the PK – 2nd grades and the Foreign Language Labs, East housing the 5th – 8th grades, and West Classrooms housing the 3rd – 4th grades classes and a computer lab classroom. The wing extending to the North side houses the office complex: administrative offices, counselor’s office, nurse’s station, reception area, business office, teacher workroom and lounge and another computer lab classroom. The building to the west of the core building is the Extended Day building for after school care and staff development and special activities during the school day. The classroom wing to the West of the core building houses the Art and Music/Band classrooms, two Science Labs and an additional classroom. The Lamar Bruni Vergara Fine Arts and Athletic Complex is adjacent to the core building on the North side, that houses the cafeteria and kitchen, stage that can be used from either the cafeteria or gym side and middle school gymnasium with two full sets of bleachers. To complete the complex the Pavilion building east of the gym has outdoor bathrooms, a concession stand for athletic events, and storage area. Outdoor Facility: Play areas consisting of two jungle gym equipment areas, outdoor slab basketball, volleyball, tether ball and four-square game courts, regulation size soccer and track field, six tennis courts and plenty of open space for students enjoy baseball or other activities. Other specialized areas outdoors are the Middle school picnic area and the 4-H animal facility.
