Special Assignments:
All work is due by Friday, August 22. Please do not
send work the first day of school.
1.
Holes—Make a series
of 5 drawings depicting the major points of the story. Under the picture
describe what is taking place.
2.
Define the following terms and show how they apply to
the stories, Heat and Old Yeller.
Character/Describe
two main characters from the stories.
Conflict/What
are the conflicts that are going on in the stories?
Setting/Where
are the stories mainly taking place?
Point-of
View/Who is telling each story?
Be prepared to AR test during the second week of
school. The first week of school we will be discussing the novels so be
prepared to contribute to the discussions. Essays also will be assigned during
this week. Please read the stories carefully and take notes as to not forget.
